Bot-initiated calls and callbacks
Allow a bot to call an approved destination or schedule a callback in a controlled way.
Two skills allow the bot to initiate a call outside the current conversation.
Immediate outbound call
The Outbound call skill allows the bot to call a defined list of numbers. Explain when each destination may be used. The bot passes the reason and useful context to the new call.
Contact callback
The Contact callback skill lets the bot set a date and time. The current number is suggested when known. An option can allow the caller to provide a different number.
Common rules
- Confirm the number and time before scheduling.
- Pass only the context that is needed.
- Tell the recipient why the call is being made.
- Observe applicable hours, consent and marketing rules.
- Account for operator charges separately from AI costs.
Voicemail
The bot attempts to identify voicemail. When allowed and possible, it leaves a message after the signal, then records this in conversation finalisation and the summary.
